2025 Black Powder Match Rules

At the 2024 International Match the membership voted to support a side match for shooters who want to shoot with black power. Listed below are the rules for this match.

Only black powder, substitutes (Pyrodex, 777, etc.) or duplex (max 5 grains of smokeless with black powder main charge).

ISSA Traditional rules for rifle configuration.
(BPCR Silhouette, long-rand & mid-range rifles are welcome)

This is an any sight match. Scopes and sights must meet the criteria set forth under the traditional rules.

ISSA rules for benchrest for score.

50 record shots at 200 yards.

ISSA German 25 ring targets.

Fixed ammo, breech seating or muzzle loading cartridge (percussion or flint muzzle loaders also allowed).

Match length - 1/2 hour sight-in plus 3 hours for record shots.
